4 MONTHS OLD!

It is so hard for Ben and I to believe that our Michael Reid is already 4 months old...is there anyway to slow this growing up process down???  It all flies by so very quickly!  Reid continues to be such a blessing to our little family each and every day...we can hardly remember what our lives were like before we got him... what in the world did we do or talk about??? ha!

We just got home from Reid's 4 month well-check...had to get some shots, but so far so good...he hasn't been fussy at all!  (This is leaps and bounds ahead of where we were after his 2 month shots...he screamed for 7 straight hours...no fun!  Hopefully those days are past us...)  Dr. Dalton said that he is doing wonderfully and is perfectly healthy - such great words for a Mom to hear!  Sweet little man is still hanging out in the 75% range of other kids his age...

Weight - 16 pounds

Height - 25 inches

Still have a little linebacker in training according to the nurses...=)

This 4th month has also marked the beginning of Reid's growing independence...it makes Ben and I a little sad...but we're very thankful that he is developing as he should be.  He is now insisting on feeding himself his bottles... we, of course, still have to help him hold them...but he thinks he is doing it by himself =).  He is also LOVING to get out and about...see new things...visit people and new places.  Such a fun age!  He just laughs and smiles all the time!

Here's a pic of the little man before we went for a walk the other day... love that big smile, sun hat, and of course the frog that we NEVER go anywhere without.  (Frogs and turtles are by far his favorite animals/toys...too cute...all boy!)

...And this is Reid's favorite new toy...the exer-saucer... he LOVES it!!!  He insists on standing and jumping during all of his waking hours, so this helps to save our arm muscles from so much pain and soreness...

Sweet Reid...Mom and Dad are continually awed and amazed at the joy you bring into our lives.  We love you more and more with each passing day!  We can't wait to see what else you learn and do this next month...
