Slight change of plans...

...this is killin' me!!!  We're so ready to meet our baby boy! =)

S is still being admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, Feb 3rd, to begin induction... but she has requested to spend an entire day with sweet Baby P after he arrives.  We're so grateful that she'll have that time with him and that we will hopefully have some pictures of the two of them together.  But, all of that to say... we will not be heading to Austin until Wednesday, February 4th now.  We're almost there... so close to meeting him!!  Not that one evening matters in the whole scheme of things... just means I have another 24 hours of killin' time!  Any creative suggestions???  I tend to clean when I'm anxious... but after these last two weeks... the house is spotless... laundry is all caught up on... my errands have all been run... I'm running out of things to do! =)

Thank you for your prayers!!  We can't wait to post pictures... most likely we'll have some up by Thursday evening or Friday!

Well, I'm sure someone else will have this idea, too... but you could come clean my house! LOL!
We are excited for you guys!

I don't really need a cleaning... just a good mission organization (you know I'm challenged!). I could really use a good Holly system in my house right about now. In fact, I think part of the problem in our new home is that we didn't buy it from you in the first place :)! I will be praying around the clock for you guys. I will pray specifically for peace... can't wait to "meet" him.

*Oh yeah, I was going to mention you could go ahead to Austin and check out one last movie at the Alamo on 6th street :)!

Well, being in the midst of this new baby thing myself, you could...get caught up on sleep; stamp and return address your thank you notes (really, the time it takes to do that to the hundreds of notes will add up); learn how to use an online picture printing service (maybe you already know how, but I don't, and people still want to see actual tangible photos of the boys and I have literally one from the NICU); find a phillips head screwdriver for every room of the house (every toy/baby soothing device needs one); schedule your first photo op (if you use a studio, you'll want a first-thing appointment before the place gets all germy); hmmm, that's all I got off the top of my head!
Holly and Ben, I haven't seen you since your wonderful news, but I am a silent stalker of your blog and check it daily. I am so happy for you guys and Baby P. Can't wait to hear the name. Love, Kimi

COOK! Sister, you will have NO desire to cook for months! If you can cook anything and freeze it, do it! If people are offering to bring meals, take them up on the offer! Our church and Blake's work provided meals and it was such a blessing. I am not very good at accepting help, but wow did this help out!

I am not sure you can stay focused enough to read but some great reads are "Twenty Things" by Sherrie Eldridge on adoption things. Baby Whisperer and Baby Wise...just a few that might make the next few years easier!

Still praying!

Go out for a nice date night just the two of you! :)

Check out Dr. Sears website. I promise you that you will seriously consider co-sleeping after a few nights, even if you start out a die-hard crib sleeping momma. It's easier if you know all your sleeping arrangement options before you are sleep deprived! We are excited for you and can't wait to hear the name and see the pics. -The Ezells

hey holly and ben,

so excited for y'all! ..i've been a silent stalker for awhile. ;) i would "second" the idea to stamp and return address thank you notes! it really is SO, SO ridiculously difficult to find time to write those! i think you might also want to make sure you have some things on hand that you can fix quickly (and eat with one hand) b/c you'll be holding sweet p A LOT! ...no one told me that babies just want to be held all the time at first! ...and go see a movie (or 7) jeff and i have seen two since emory was born last march! much love, jeff and jill crownover

Whoops, two comments. I'm with whoever said to stock up on snacks.
Sometimes I was feeding our kids for HOURS and I didn't have anything I could eat with one hand. Celery, Carrots, kashi bars-anything you can snack on and get to quickly that won't fill you up with sugar and make you crash. With Anderson, we had a little table next to my rocking/feeding chair and I kept some bottles of water and granola bars there--it was a lifesaver! oh, the adventures you are about to have!!:)

I'm with Danielle. I'd head on down to Austin. Stop in at Papyrus and get some cute thank you notes and camp out at say Kirby Ln next to UT, people watch and address thank yous, and people watch.
We are thinking of you and Sweet P and S and praying...
