Katherine Farmer Seale

On July 7, 2012, we lost my Grandmother... Katherine Farmer Seale. We will miss her dearly but take comfort that she is healthy and in a much better place.

I love this picture of her...

We all headed out to Lubbock, TX to spend the weekend with my Mom's side of the family.  The funeral services were held in Levelland, Texas.  Reid had a great time meeting all of his second cousins who were about the same age (Sean & Nixon)!

All of the ladies - KK, Aunt NeeNee, Ronnie Seale, Myself, Cassie Polk, Lindsay Conway, Charla Showalter, and Kendall Seale

All of Grandmother's great-grandkids - Cade, Nixon, Kendall, Tyler, Sean, and Reid.  I love this pic... we have Sean throwing a fit and Reid picking his nose. Ha!

All of the guys - Jordan Polk, Nixon, Buzzy Showalter, Cade Seale, Bryce Seale, Tyler Seale, Larry Seale, Reid, Doc, Sean Conway, & Seth Conway

Reid was such a trooper all weekend long! I was so proud of how well behaved he was.  Here's a pic of me and my little man...

Am I already 33?

It's so hard to believe... but yes, I turned one year older on July 1st. I have to say that I am loving my 30s!

I had a wonderful birthday with my sweet husband and little guy, Reid - we went to dinner and they spoke straight to this techie girl's heart when they got me a new iPad... ha! =) Then my amazing Little Rock girlfriends planned a fun kiddo-free night out for the girls!  They took me to my favorite wine bar and restaurant - Sushi Cafe!  What a great night!

Here's a pic of my beautiful Little Rock girls - Leslie, Lori, Mel, Susanne, Myself, Emily, & Cassie

Cheers to 33!

I love each of these girls and I am so very thankful for their friendship!

Mediterranean Cruise - London to Rome

The first trip of our summer truly was the trip of a lifetime! From May 26 - June 7, Ben and I got to go on a Mediterranean Cruise from London around to Rome.  To say it was INCREDIBLE doesn't even do it justice.  It was such a sweet time for the two of us to have... to reconnect... and make some awesome memories together.

Before I continue, I have to say how blessed we were that BOTH of our families pitched in to help with Reid.  He had a VERY FUN few weeks with all of the grandparents (pics of that to come in the next post!).  I don't think he even realized we were gone - ha!  I also have to say that I can't begin to post all of our pics - I had to make a whole other Shutterfly book just for this trip.  So, for the purposes of the blog, I'll just hit the highlights of our trips by posting a pic or two from each country we visited along the way.

Here we are about to fly all night from Dallas to New York, then on to London (First Class - whoop!!)

First Stop: London, England (one of our favorite cities to visit!)

We spent two days in London before boarding our ship in Dover, England.  Here is a pic of our boat - The Crystal Serenity (we sailed on Crystal Cruises).  We highly recommend it!

Heading to the Captain's Dinner the first night aboard the ship.

Second Stop: Bordeaux, France - We loved touring all of the wineries!

Bordeaux, France

Third Stop: Saint Emilion, France - It was a picturesque medieval village

Touring more wineries in Southern France

Our next stop was Lisbon, Portugal

Then on to Gibralter, UK

Here we are arriving in Nice, France

This was one of my favorite spots - Nice, France

Nice, France

Our next destination was Monte Carlo, Monaco (Ben's favorite!)

The bay in Monte Carlo, Monaco

We had the opportunity to do so many amazing excursions throughout our trip!  One of my favorites was the helicopter ride over Monte Carlo while Ben golfed with some guys.

Then we spent the day shopping and eating in Saint Paul de Vance, France

Saint Paul de Vance, France

And my new FAVORITE spot in the world... Florence, Italy!  I could go back and spend a whole month (or more!) here...

Like I said, this is just a VERY brief snapshot of several places we got to visit.  It was a trip we will never forget!  Happy 10 years of marriage to us!

10 Years - February 2nd

10 years ago I was privileged to marry this man (02/02/02). We were both so young and neither of us could have known all of the things we were about to face (both good and not-so-good). Through it all, Ben has shown nothing but courage, patience, kindness, faithfulness and most importantly... Love. He has shown me great love.

As I stated earlier, Ben and I had the opportunity to escape for a long weekend to celebrate our 10 year anniversary - we had a blast! He took me to Nashville, TN where we got to stay at the Union Station Hotel... one of our new favorites! We slept, shopped, saw Music Row, ate some GREAT food (Sunset Grill, Pancake Pantry, etc), went to the strip, and just hung out together... Such a great weekend! Here are a few pics...
